I had a day off on Friday, so I spent pretending I was on vacation.
This morning I had fish tacos for breakfast like a professional.
You’d be hard-pressed to find fish tacos that are better than the ones at Baja Burrito in Nashville. You’ll have to stand in a long line to get them, but when it is your turn, walk up to the counter, and said, “Basket of fish taco and cheese dip, please.”
You will not regret it.
I got to the pool early enough to have the place to myself for an hour. When someone finally did come down to the pool, she was the perfect pool mate. She had a book and I-don’t-want-to-socialize-sized sunglasses on it.
We had a wonderful time reading our books, dipping in and out of the water, and generally pretending the other wasn’t there.
The water was cold, but after a couple of fights against the flinch, I got used to it.
I really enjoy the color and lighting of this photo. If I could change anything, it would be the shadow of the phone. The phone shadow also modernizes this photo in a way, so I don’t it ruins it.
These shots were taken using my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S21, and the FIMO App which was set to the Koda 200 film stock.
I love the FIMO App. If you are on my Instagram accounts (personal and photo), then you’ve seen me use the app a lot.
I highly recommend it. The only downside to using the app is the photos aren’t saved in a large enough format for anything other than 4x6 printing.
There are ways around that, of course. I’ll discuss those another time.
